A common misconception amongst the majority of the people in the UK is that once their homes have been insulated, it will remain energy efficient over the years. In order to maintain reduced energy bills, we all must look into renewing our insulation as it is the simplest, yet most effective measure to tackle rising bills.
Many people have now resorted to using fewer rooms in the property or switching off appliances to save their hard earned money. We, however, help households to live well by insulating their homes instead of making unnecessary stressful decisions.
The best part is, it’s all free!
EWI – Exterior Wall Insulation
Many of the properties around the UK have been built in the era where a solid brick wall is the only thing keeping you protected from the elements.
When you touch your external wall, does it feel very cold?
A little known fact is that a third of the warmth generated internally is lost through the walls alone. That is more than 30%!
Exterior Wall Insulation (EWI) is an insulation fixed externally to trap the heat within the four walls of the property. We can offer to finish off the EWI with a render or another form of cladding so it lasts for many years to come.
Our team at EcoFit UK Ltd are passionate about helping you reduce your energy bills by offering EWI as one of the measures. We aim to help you live better than before without having the worry of wasting money unnecessarily on heating.
What is the Process?
- Contact us and we will assess your eligibility for the government grant.
- We will discuss and book a convenient installation date.
- The condition of the external brickwork of the property will be assessed to see whether it can support the insulation.
- Our team is dedicated to protect your property from damage. Windows and other elements will be correctly covered and protected.
- The insulation will then the applied to the heat loss parameters and finished off with a layer of render
- All the work will be carried out externally which will minimise disruption to your daily home routine.
What are some other benefits?
External Wall Insulation will not only help reduce your energy bills by keeping your house warmer, but will also help in many other ways listed below:
- Internal walls will not be as cold as before. This will reduce build-up of condensation and prevent mould and damp.
- It creates a second layer of weather seal to further increase resistance of water penetration.
- Disruption to your day will be minimum.
- You will not lose internal space within the property.
- It can provide a new, fresher look to the front of your house.
- External wall Insulation will preserve the masonry for years to come as well as act as a sound insulation. Don’t be surprised if your house will seem quieter with less noise from noisy traffic.
IWI – Internal Wall Insulation
Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) is another way of reducing your energy bills by up to 35%! In other words, you will keep 35% more of your money on a yearly basis and EcoFit UK will take care of the entire process for you!
More than 30% of the houses in the UK have no cavity walls, meaning, every second of every day, their expensive heat energy is being lost through the walls. EcoFit UK has been setup with direct support from the government to help you insulate your home!
Internal Wall Insulation is installed quickly and easily. Our team take great care of every property and aim to minimise any disturbance to your daily life. We simply attach the IWI to the heat loss walls of your property and finished off with a brand new layer of plaster. Depending on the type of property you live in, you can save up to £930* per year!

How can EcoFit UK help?
- Contact us and we will assess your eligibility for the government grant.
- We will discuss and book a convenient installation date.
- A property survey will be conducted to assess the condition of the walls. If we notice issues during the inspection, they will need to be rectified prior to the install.
- Our team is dedicated to protect your property from damage. All fixings will be removed (radiators, curtains, blinds, skirting, lights or light switches) and other elements will be correctly covered and protected.
- Studs will then be fixed to the walls with adequate gaps in between. These gaps will be filled with the insulation.
- All fixings will then be re-fitted.
- The last stage will be fitting on the plasterboards and finishing off with a layer of plaster. Your room will be as good as new, ready for fresh paint!
Are there other benefits?
- Internal Wall Insulation can be carried out in a room-by-room basis, minimising disruption to your daily routine.
- It will not require any big equipment and all materials will be removed from your property fairly quickly.
- Give you a ‘brand new room’ feel so you can finally make those decoration choices you have been thinking about all these years!
Roof and Loft Insulation
We all know that heat rises and therefore, the most effective way of trapping heat within the property is by correctly installing insulation in roof.
Majority of loft spaces are used for storage. Once in a while, we open the loft hatch and feel a cold draft entering the rest of the house, accompanied by the noise of the traffic or wind. EcoFit UK will help you with the entire process, from application to installation of Roof Insulation.
Loft insulation is barrier of fabric in your roof space that traps heat. It will either be installed between the joists (the floor of the loft) or the rafters that run diagonally above you. EcoFit UK will help you choose the best option for your property. Having this insulation will keep your house warm in the winter, and cool in the summer.
Insulation between the joists keeps warmth in your living space below, and creates a chilly loft. Insulation within the rafters permits you to trap heat in the roof area as well.

- Contact us and we will assess your eligibility for the government grant.
- We will discuss and book a convenient installation date.
- A property survey will be conducted to assess the condition of the loft. If we notice issues during the inspection, they will need to be rectified prior to the install.
- Loft space will need to be cleared for our team to complete the install quickly and with minimal disruption.
Are there other benefits?
- Roof or loft insulation install is the quickest of all types of insulation.
- Will stop those cold drafts and traffic noise that enters freely from the loft.
- It will improve your EPC rating.
- You will not only save money on your bills but will also notice a significant difference of a quieter area under the loft hatch.
- ROOM IN THE ROOF
Room in the Roof Insulation
Many homeowners have made good use of the space in the loft by converting them into liveable rooms. Rooms in the roof have always been the coldest part of the house, simply because the barrier between you and the open air is usually a layer of felt and roof tiles.
Correctly insulating your room in the roof will dramatically help with retaining heat, not only in that particular space, but also the house overall.
EcoFit will offer different types of insulation that can be used to fill the rafter spaces. The main types of insulation can be made from polystyrene or polyurethane.
